Welcome

Welcome to my Blog! I hope you will visit often and through my postings, you will get to know me, my family and my work. I have the BEST JOB EVER! I am a self taught, natural light Photographer, who specializes in Child and Family Photography. I am following my true passion and love for photography. Since I was a young child, I have owned one camera or another and absolutely loved taking photos of family, friends, vacations and the like. Little did I know that this is what I would have the privilege to do, Capture your precious Moments. Since I have had my beautiful daughters, who are ranging in ages from young adult to teenager, I have been passionately documenting the things that tell our family's story. As a Photographer, I have the privilege of sharing in your beautiful, profound moments... these are your most precious possessions.

What Do I Wear

What Do I Wear
Please use this information as a guide for your upcoming session

{Individuals}
I recommend wearing something more bold and colorful, with a lot of texture to show off personality. This is an opportunity for your child to shine! For children, I usually recommend bare feet. Clothing that has texture, like knitting, embroidery, dark faded denim, buttons, ruffles, tend to photograph better and add more visual interest.

{Siblings}
It can be difficult to coordinate colors and not look too matchy. I recommend picking a few colors, but try not to put them in the same exact clothing. The more layers, textures and colors, the better. Just pick colors that compliment each other. I recommend bright or deep colors and try to stay away from pastels. I do recommend investing in your child's clothing for the session because it does make a huge difference in the final product. Search out local or online boutiques - they have "one-of-a-kind" style.

{Families}
Choose a style you like and a few colors you like as well. I recommend having the parents dress fashionable, yet simple and focus more of the funky, unique style on the kids. If you have 5 people all dressing with a lot of layers and accessories it can be too much. Dark jeans that have a grit to them is always a great choice for parents or especially the husband. If you are going to wear a print, stay away from small prints, there is not a lot of visual interest. Continue to think about texture and color. You may think that certain colors don’t go together, but again think out of the box and have fun!
